THOMPSON'S

We're offered a change of pace for our Coffee House in January 2012.  The featured artists were Paul and Randy Thompson from Pennsylvania.  Paul has pastored there for over twenty years, but has been singing country music for much longer. 

Randy is Paul's son, who currently works as a guard in the prison system of PA.  He is a long-time musician who was co-founder of the Christian rock band, No Regret, back in the late 80's.  He is also a writer and singer who recently has teamed with his father to record some of his music.

As they arrived, the two were completing a new project in Nashville with the working title, "Touched."  It should be finished by the time they come to perform at our January 7th Coffee House.  We hope to be able to offer the new CD in March of 2012.

Our connection to them is through Pastor Zuchelli.  He was Paul and Randy's pastor back in the 80's before Paul left with his family to enter full time pastoral ministry.  We were delighted to be able to welcome them to northern Virginia for a special time together.  Paul preached at Smith Chapel on Sunday (Jan 8, 2012) in addition to their Saturday evening gig.  

Gail Thompson, Paul's spouse and Randy's Mom, accompanied them for the weekend.  Her presence not only brought the feminine touch to the events, but she gave us a depth to our perspective on their lives and ministries.  We hope they can all return sometime soon.
