The congregation here at Smith Chapel has a heart for missions.  Several years ago, one of our  congregational leaders (Danny Sullivan) was afflicted with cancer.  We put on a concert to raise money to help with his medical expenses.  Danny passed away later that year, but for several years, we continued to have "Songs for Danny" annually to raise money for missions...a project that not only paid tribute to a man with a heart for missions, but met the needs of people around the world.
    
    In 2008, we instituted the Danny Sullivan Mission Fund.  This fund is solely for the purpose of helping to fund short term, Christian mission trips.  We call these support gifts "Missionships."  This is above and beyond any other support we do or offer for missions here and abroad.
