Webster's Dictionary defines ministry as "a person or thing through which something is accomplished," and as "the period of service or office of a minister or ministry." As a church, we understand ministry as being in service to the Lord Jesus Christ, to His church, and His Kingdom. We also see it in conjunction with the world around us. Our service is to our friends, families, and neighbors (near and far) with the goal of demonstrating to them the truth of the Gospel and the message of salvation.
The ministry of Smith Chapel is not unusual as churches go. But it is unique, in that, we are the only ones in our position, location, and mindset. In other words, like all other churches, we have a sphere of influence particular to us alone. With that in mind, our objective is to point ourselves and those around us to the glory of God and His promise of eternal life to all who would receive Him.
We invite any and all of you to join us in this ministry. We believe it has been entrusted to us by the Lord, and that you could be an integral part of it (and us) if you are so led and you so choose. Please consider us as you pray and seek the Lord's leading.
