The Virgin Mary, already pregnant, visits her relative Elizabeth and proclaims how wonderful the Lord is to her and her people. The passage of Scripture that relays her hymn of praise is now called the Magnificat. Pastor Zuchelli expounds on this passage from Luke 1:46-55 in the sermon entitled, "Magnify!" This sermon was delivered to Smith Chapel UMC on December 12 (the third Sunday in Advent, 2010).
