Smith Chapel United Methodist has been a vibrant, loving congregation nestled among the mighty oaks of Great Falls since 1890 when the family of Jesse and Lucine Smith devoted their life to this church.  Though passersby may not notice all that’s happening, we are doing great things in the name of Christ.  Over the years, we have established ourselves as an historic chapel providing a beautiful, quaint setting for couples to exchange vows and begin their new life together.

We actively support many missions, but continually look for ways to be involved in the community and faithfully minister God’s word.   We truly are a family here at Smith Chapel.  We invite you to join the experience yourself to be a part of the wonderful things the Lord is doing here through our little church in the woods…it’s like coming home.

The church website will now begin to post columns written by Denise Zuchelli.  The series will be entitled, Really Lord?  Denise will be sharing snipits of her daily life and the wisdom God bestows to help her get through some the trials and tribulations.   We hope you'll visit and revisit this from time to time.  She will be posting new ones periodically.   Here is what Pastor Dave had to say about her...
"My loving bride, Denise Zuchelli, is a fighter. By that I mean she never gives up.  She's scrappy, and she'll hang in there until the end.  She does things when I think
it's impossible, and she finds ways to do things when I think there is no way.

In addition, she is accomplished in her field of endeavor (finances) and most often is the wisest person in the room when it comes to analyzing a situation and plotting a solution.  I know I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for her.  I often lean on her God-given wisdom and practicality.

Given all that, it took me about two milliseconds to say yes when she proposed this series for the website. She felt the tug of the Holy Spirit on her heartstrings and decided to be obedient to the Lord.  So she brought it up to me for my opinion.  She was surprised how quickly I said yes, but it seems to me that if God is prodding her to do it, He must have a purpose for it.  I certainly trust her judgment, and besides, she gave me final editing rights."

"Really Lord?"  We all ask the question from time to time.  So, Denise, we look forward to your future posts and pray that the Lord would bless your efforts.

Her most recent post is "Storms."
