COFFEE HOUSE
The Administrative Council launched a new Coffee House series for the winter months of 2011-12. The idea was to create a relaxed, entertaining atmosphere in Lambert Hall once a month akin to a Coffee House. Four dates were selected to test this idea which fell on the first Saturday of each month from November through February.
As you might imagine, coffee (as well as soft drinks and water) were served. There were different entertainers each evening from singers to musicians to comedians. There were no entrance fees nor any charge for refreshments. It was simply a time to relax and enjoy.
The public was invited to attend, and we were encouraged as many came and brought friends, family, and neighbors. The crowds began small and grew each time until Lambert Hall was quite full by the last one on February 4. Each coffee house began at 7 PM and wound down at 8:30 PM. The schedule was as follows:
